Grinrod Park Photos
Grinrod Park is a waterfront park in the village of Grindrod and sits on the shores of the Shuswap River, British Columbia, Canada. It features direct access to the river and several picnic areas, as well as a place to launch boats, kayaks, and paddle boards. In the spring, the river is high and swimming is not possible, but in the late summer, the water goes down and reveals beautiful white sandbars. Right next to the park is a locally famous pub called the Riverfront Pub and Grill, which is a great place for a beer.
The water of the Shuswap River is crystal clear and loaded with various fish species, and when we visited, we saw a ton of spawning salmon.
In September, you could walk across the river to reach these gorgeous sandbars, and some logs allowed us to climb over the water.
During this time of year, the water was low enough to enjoy a dip in the water, and you could swimm in one spot which was fun.
